A Bit About Us
We are longtime residents of North Carolina’s Triangle region. While Laura was raised in the state, Paul’s family relocated here in 1994.
After living in Charlotte, Chapel Hill, Raleigh, and even several years in Boston, we and our three children — Lily, Gabriel, and Max — have proudly called Cary home since 2013.
As avid travelers and lovers of our state and national parks, the mountains always called to us. In 2023, that pull became High Country Escape — our family’s way of embracing everything that Boone’s four-season paradise has to offer.
Some of our favorite memories here include summer tubing and rafting adventures, winter days spent slipping and sliding, spring hikes through blooming trails, and Blue-Ridge or back-deck sunsets — always best enjoyed with something delicious baking in the oven or sizzling on the grill!
